The sky's the limit!
This week's Kawhe Kōrero was very popular, with students ranging from Years 9-13 who were interested in learning about careers in aviation heading along to the lunchtime career chat.
Guest speakers Heather Gallagher, Air hostess and Corporate sales (GBHS Alumni) and Captain Katherine Stacey, Jetstar pilot, answered lots of questions and provided valuable insight.
Heather spoke about her extensive career in travel and tourism sales and as a cabin crew member. Captain Stacey answered many student questions about the different ways to get into flying, what a typical day would be like, pay, student loans and helpful school subjects.
GBHS's weekly 'Kawhe Kōrero' sessions are held each Tuesday lunchtime in E3, allowing students to ask real questions and have them answered by real people in the industry.

- Tuesday 8th September: DOCTOR / NURSE - with guest speakers: Dr April Garton, from Waitakere Hospital; Jessica Lawson, Community Nurse from Parkinsons NZ
