Cultural Council

GBHS's Cultural councillors were treated to a mini feast at lunchtime yesterday as a way of thanking them for their outstanding efforts to celebrate our ever-growing cultural and linguistic diversity.
This was an opportunity to thank each and every one of them, as well as all the staff who contributed to the 2026 Cultural Week.
"They are always enthusiastic, energetic and willing to lead the cultural diversity kaupapa at our school, with humility, wonderful skills and joyfulness," says Mr Adel Salmanzadeh.
"Their unity in diversity, their respect and care for each other, is an example for us all, and we look forward to supporting them with their plans for Term 3 and beyond."
Special mention of all the Year 13 council members who continually encourage younger members with this important mahi - and who helped serve others during the 'thanksgiving' lunch as well.
