NEW! 3-story Science Block

SYMBOLIC START TO NEW 3-STOREY SCIENCE BLOCK!
Early this morning, with the guidance and blessing of Matua Hare Paniora, Year 13 students Olivia Cormack Neto and Maria Sawaya had the privilege of turning the ceremonial sod to mark the symbolic start of construction on our new 3-storey Science block.
Official 'ground-breaking' and construction of the new 3-storey Science Block will take place tomorrow (Saturday 28 June, 2025) with an expected completion date of October 2026.
During the construction period, the lower Stottholm Road entrance will be closed to students. It will be used for construction traffic and for staff parking. Te Aratika student pick-up and drop-offs will also continue from this entrance.
For the safety of GBHS students, staff, and the public, during the construction period, student access will not be permitted at any time through this entrance.
Student access will be through the entrances at Firle Place, the upper walkway by 82 Stottholm Road, or the front entrance of the school on Godley Road.
Please note: Students and whānau from neighbouring Green Bay School will not be permitted to walk through the GBHS campus to access the lower Stottholm Road driveway.
