SIBLING SUCCESS: Amazing achievement for brother and sister in the recent Rotorua 10km race (Saturday 4 May) with a club 1st place result!

Maksis Maulvurfs (Year 13) and his sister Sofia Maulvurfs (Year 9) who both run for Lyndale Athletics, finished the 10km run with fantastic times, putting their club's team on the winners podium and also placing 3rd (males) and 2nd (females) overall, out of 100's of runners entered.

Maksis completed the 10km race with a time of 36min 54 sec, and Sofia completed the 10km race with 40min 29 sec. Amazing!

The Rotorua Marathon Go Media 10km race starts in the Government Gardens, winds through the volcanic Sulphur Flats, down Titokorangi Drive (Long Mile) next to the Redwoods within the Whakarewarewa Forest, and then returns to the finish at Government Gardens.
