Green Bay High School's bands, Mind the Gap and Ulterior Motive, took the stage by storm at the SmokeFreeRockquest Regional Finals, held at Auckland Girls Grammar on Saturday, 10 June. Their performances were nothing short of spectacular, showcasing sophisticated songwriting, energy, and a profound connection with the audience.
Mind the Gap: Finn Grieve, Kim Scholes, Jason Moore, Chloe Shepperd, Aeryn Aranda-McCue, Jordan Liddy-Thompson, Brenna Carter and Ulterior Motive: Phoenix Simpson, Ren Honda, Sean Rolfe, Ben Hammond, Will McIntosh, crafted songs that were a testament to their musical maturity and originality. Each note and lyric carried depth and meaning, leaving the judges and spectators in awe of their talent. Their ability to captivate the audience through their creativity and skillful compositions was truly remarkable.
