Arataki Adventures

Level 2 Biology students are spending a day at Arataki, in preparation for their first assessment of the year.
Students have been learning about stratification (layering) in the forest. Bus loads of young botanists will be taken under the Arataki Ranger's wings, following their expert guidance and discovering a wide range of trees and plants present in the forest - discovering the special adaptations that enable these plants to survive and flourish.
As part of their assessment, students took ample notes and collected a range of data, enabling them to complete their report.
Everyone had an enjoyable day. Feedback received from one of the Rangers was: "One of the best groups we've ever had."
Amazing!
