Year 9 Orientation

Year 9 students and their whanau were warmly welcomed with a pōwhiri on Day 1 (Thursday 30 January) of their Orientation/Start-Up days. Students spent the day with their Form class, setting up Google classroom accounts and getting ready to begin the school year.
Today (Friday 1 January) Year 9 students (only) started their day in Form class, before spending the rest of the day meeting subject teachers and following Monday's timetable - to give them an idea of who to see and where to go when all students will be at school.
On Monday all students are to go to their FORM CLASS at 8.40am.
Earlier this week, Green Bay High School's 2025 student leaders, and a gathering of staff, were part of an early morning blessing (Tuesday 28 January) for the opening of our new 12-classroom 'H Block' led by Matua Hare Paniora. A separate gathering of Green Bay High School's 2025 student leaders and staff soon followed, as we welcomed new staff into the GBHS whānau with a staff pōwhiri.
