Kia ora e te whānau,
Since school ended today, we have had a significant number of staff who have either become unwell or are close contacts who are needing to self isolate.
As signaled in our earlier newsletters, we are now in the situation where our staffing is severely impacted by staff illness and we will need to introduce measures to ensure the school continues to function effectively.
This is not a decision taken lightly, but is a proactive response to ensure our students can continue to spend much of their learning time at school, remaining connected with both their learning and each other.
From tomorrow we will be rostering a year level home each day. When a year level is rostered home, the expectation is that students are completing work set on their google classroom.
The roster is as follows: Tomorrow (FRIDAY 4 MARCH): Year 13
MONDAY 7 MARCH: Year 12
TUESDAY 8 MARCH: Year 11
WEDNESDAY 9 MARCH: Year 10
THURSDAY 10 MARCH: Year 13
FRIDAY: 11 MARCH: Year 9
Level 3 PE students should attend their lesson at the KGC swimming pool at 8am. Sports, training and after school activities can continue and students are welcome to come in for these.
If necessary, as in 2021, Year 9 or Year 10 students unable to be supervised at home can be supervised at school on their designated Year Level at home day.
