Upcoming Pasifika Hui

Green Bay High School strives to build closer relationships with individual learners and their families, to ensure that we understand cultural needs, and to shape how we reflect them in school life.
TERM 3 HUI DATES:
- Migrant Hui: Wednesday 6 August 2025, 6pm-7pm.Thank you to everyone who came along to this informative hui, sharing kai, korero and understanding of upcoming exams and asssessments. It was a great evening!
- Pasifika Hui: Wednesday 13 August 2025, 6pm-7pm - An email has been sent home to our Pasifika families, who are warmly invited to talanoa and connect as we move toward the busy end of term and begin preparations for Derived Grade and External Exams. On the agenda is key information to help support your child through this assessment period, and also to begin conversations about planning for 2026. Most importantly, this fono is a time for us to acknowledge and celebrate the success of our Pacific students. We are so proud of the many achievements across all year levels and want to take the time to recognise their hard work, leadership, and cultural contribution to our school. We will also share with you the work of our Pacific Teachers’ Team - Elaine, Ulata, Mose, and Savali - who have been leading across the school this year. This includes professional learning with our staff to strengthen culturally sustaining practices and lift Pacific achievement at Green Bay High School. To help guide this mahi, we also gathered student voices from our Pacific learners, and their experiences have been at the heart of the professional learning we have offered staff. As always, there will be food and time for talanoa. We would also appreciate it if you could please bring a plate of food to share, as we continue to celebrate the spirit of community and hospitality that makes our fono so special.
