NZ Orienteering Team

Aidan Barrett-Hamilton (Year 10) has recently returned from competing at the 2026 European Youth Orienteering Champs in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, as part of the NZ team.

The competition (25-27 June) saw competitors sprint in temperatures reaching 36 degrees! Aidan competed in each of the three races.

Aidan's next event is the NZ Secondary Schools' National Champs, to be held in Christchurch, alongside fellow GBHS Year 10 students: Cormac Gray, Oscar Raos, Fran Ishida, and Tsubaki Moore.

Then he's off to Canberra (Term 3 break) with the NZ Secondary Schools' Team to compete in the Southern Cross Challenge.
