Year 13 students who took part in the Watercare Science project in 2025 have continued their work, even taking on the role of educators, visiting three local primary schools this term.

Our young leaders worked with Yr 5/6 students at New Lynn School, Fruitvale Primary, and Year 1/2 students at Arahoe School, teaching them about water quality.

Students conducted some basic experiments on water collected from various areas within the school to gather data on their local water supplies.

Our Year 13 GBHS students made for excellent teachers, and left a lasting impression! Primary school students asked them to "come back to do more science."

This programme will continue into terms 3 and 4, visiting more of our local primary schools.
