Host an International student!

Apply now to host an International Student from term 3 in 2025!

Green Bay High School is currently looking for local families who are warm and welcoming to host in term 3. We have students available for 1, 2, 3 and 4 terms.

We would love to hear from you if English is the main language spoken at home and you live within walking distance or close to the school bus route.

Hosting an International student is a rewarding and enriching experience and the International Department at Green Bay High School will provide all the support and guidance you need to help make hosting a positive experience for everyone. The hosting fee is $350 per week.

As part of the application process, Kinstry Smythe, our homestay manager will visit you at home to gather some information about your family interests and then carefully match a student to you.

Our international students are 14 to 18 years old and are from Italy, France, Germany, Brazil, Chile, Japan, China, Vietnam and Cambodia. Our students study in duration from 1 or 2 terms to 1 year, and some students may stay for 3 to 4 years to complete their high school education at GBHS. You choose the duration you would like to host for.
