Common Assessment Activity (CAA) Digital Exams
Taking place next week (21 - 23 May 2024). CAA exams are an important time for selected Years 11-13 students, and is also the first opportunity for Year 10 students to sit these exams. Students have been well supported in class:
- Year 10s have created their NCEA student login (and/or) logged into their account - and have also been practising exam questions in classes.
- Years 11-13 students were encouraged to order workbooks and have completed several workshops for Reading/Writing/Numeracy (held on Wednesday 1 May, Wednesday 8 May, and Wednesday 15 May).
On the Day - Exam Preparation:
- Arrive early! (see information in Room Allocation/s below)
- In the morning of the exam check B block white board for Reading & Writing and F block white board for Numeracy to confirm room allocations
- While some students may complete their exam before the end of the session, students must stay in their exam room until the end of the session
- We encourage students to use the full 2 hrs
- After each exam students will continue with their timetable classes
Year 10 Literacy (and) Numeracy exams - Room allocations
- Year 10 Numeracy: Tuesday 21st of May (Term 2 Week 4), periods 1 & 2, 8:40am - 10:45am
- Year 10 Literacy (Writing): Wednesday 22nd May (Term 2 Week 4), periods 1 & 2, 8:40am - 10:45am
- Year 10 Literacy (Reading): Thursday 23rd of May (Term 2 Week 4), periods 1 & 2, 9:20am - 11:20am

- Grouped alphabetically by Legal surname - click on your Surname (group) to view the list of names in the allocated exam room
- If a student name is not assigned to an exam, they will be entered in the September exams
- After each exam students will continue with their timetable classes
Year 11 Reading exam - Room allocations
- Thursday 23rd May (Week 4), Periods 3 & 4, 11:45 am - 1:45 pm

- Students must arrive 10 mins early to their allocated room
- Check white board in B Block to confirm your room
- Once Reading exam is completed students will go back to their timetabled class
Year 11 Numeracy exam - Room allocations
- Tuesday 21st May (Week 4), Periods 3 & 4, 11:25 am - 1:30 pm

- Students must arrive at 11:20am to their allocated room
- Check F block white board to confirm your room
- Students will need to bring a calculator with them. Any issues please discuss with your mathematics teacher
- Once Numeracy exam is completed students will go back to their timetabled class
Year 11 Writing exam - Room allocations
- Wednesday 22nd May (Week 4), Periods 3 & 4, 11:25 am - 1:30 pm

- Bring a fully charged laptop and charger
