National Swimming Champs

Congratulations to Aidan Barrett-Hamilton (Year 10) who has qualified for the National Age Group Swimming Championships (NAGs), to be held in Hawke’s Bay during the upcoming school holidays.

Aidan will be competing in 50m,100m, 200m backstroke events.

NAGs represents the pinnacle of age-group swimming in New Zealand, and qualification alone is a significant accomplishment. This achievement reflects not only exceptional talent, but also the dedication, discipline, and countless early mornings spent training, along with the many kilometres completed in the pool.

Aidan trains and competes with Waitakere Swimming Club, based at WestWave Aquatic Centre in Henderson. His selection for this prestigious event is a testament to his commitment and perseverance in the sport.
