Introducing GBHS's Student Councillors (2025)

Thank you to everyone who applied. This year was the most applications received - it was especially encouraging to see the enthusiasm and interest of so many Year 9 applicants. With so many applicantions to choose from, it was really hard to make a selection for the places that we had available.

Congratulations to our selected Student Councillors for 2025 (listed below) who will meet weekly and make a plan on what they want to achieve this year. Each council is run by a staff member and two student leaders. GBHS's Councils are aligned to each of our school honours (Academic, Creative Arts, Cultural, School Service, Sports) comprising of Student Councillors from each year level.

Throughout the year, Student Councillors will work on an impact project within their chosen area (one change project per year based on student voice). Student Councillors must be organised, reliable and committed to making a difference within their school environment. Constant communication (talking with peers and actioning feedback) from students in each year group is important.
