KAWHE & KŌRERO:

GBHS's Careers Department warmly invites students to come along to their weekly “Kawhe & Kōrero” sessions, held every Tuesday lunchtime in H12.

This week, students were entertained by the vibrant Ronnie Mackie, content creator and CEO of Loudmouth Productions, who spoke to a Year 10 assembly, Level 2 Media Studies, Level 2 Vocational Studies and also at the Kawhe Kōrero session about his career journey.

During Kawhe Kōrero sessions, students meet people from different industries and ask questions. Students will hear about a wide range of careers, and the different paths people take to get into their roles, full of useful experience and/or qualification information ... and the best and worst parts of their jobs!

Upcoming speakers who are still to showcase their wares in Term 1 are:

Tuesday 4th March 2025 Plumber: Campbells Liam Huse-White Electrician: Marshall Electrics Limited Thomas Marshall

Tuesday 11th March 2025 Hairdresser/Makeup artist: Jenn from Elevate Hair
