It has been another great week at school!
One of the highlights this week was our PST conferences. It was wonderful to see so many whānau at school and to have the opportunity for those important conversations about learning. Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend. The strong turnout reflects the value our community places on working together to support each young person, and it was great to see so many families engaged in this way.
These opportunities to connect are important. When school and home work together, students benefit from the shared understanding and support that helps them to make progress and feel known. I really appreciate the time given by both whānau and our teaching staff in making these conferences such a positive part of our school calendar.
Good luck to all of our summer tournament teams as they head away to compete. In particular, our Girls’ Futsal team is travelling to Wellington for the national competition, which is a first for GBHS. This is a fantastic achievement. As well as reaping the rewards of all their hard work, they are also forging a pathway for those who follow.
Eid Mubarak to all of our whānau who are celebrating Eid over this period. Wishing you joy, peace, and wonderful celebrations with your loved ones.
