Kia ora e te whanau,
Right now, we are planning for the worst and hoping for the best with the forecast bad weather. We have been reviewing our plans ahead of the forecasted serious weather. If the weather is severe it could be a fast changing situation. We’ll update you in the following ways;
- Schoolbridge App (please see news item below)
- By email
The last few days have been absolutely fantastic welcoming all our students back to school this week - the school is buzzing as students and staff reconnect after the break, and the good weather has really helped! A highlight this week was the Year 9 Haka competition - great seeing the house spirit grow as our new students competed for house points.
Our school continues to grow and we now have 1700 students joining us for the 2023 academic year. With a growing school, we also have a growing staff and we’ll introduce them in the newsletters over the next few weeks.
Our staff put in a lot of work getting rooms that had been damaged in the flood ready for learning. We’re able to use all 20 rooms, and re-carpeting and building work will be completed in the Easter break.
Please keep checking over the later part of the weekend and across next week for updated information.
Stay safe this weekend. Fiona Barker PRINCIPAL
