We are very pleased to share the news that Haelyn King (Yr 13) won first prize in Waitakere Trusts Art Awards youth section!

The Trusts Awards Youth 16-18 Years Painting/Dry Art category. 1st Place: Haelyn King Title of Art: As The Grass Collects Dew Medium: Acrylic on Paper Prize: $500

Judges' Comments: The artist handles light particularly well, using the radiating beams and luminous ground to draw us deeply into the scene. Loose, expressive brushwork and a rich contrast between darkness and vibrant colour create both depth and mystery.

Well done, Haelyn!
