Kauri Kiwi Crowned Regional Champions!
Green Bay High School had two of the top eight teams nominated for awards at the West Auckland regional finals.
Congratulations to...(drumroll please)... Year 13 students Jamie Scherer, Anneliese Judd, Zella Zeddell-Stone, Bailey Thorp, and Callum Ringland from KAURI KIWI, who won the Excellence in Creative Thinking Award at the West Auckland Regional finals of the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme, held at the Victory Convention Centre last night! (Tuesday 1 November). Kauri Kiwi are a group of young entrepreneurs who were nominated for their innovative business venture The Kauri Karrier, a biodegradable plant pot containing information and ingredients to grow your very own Kauri tree - raising awareness of the dwindling Kauri population through their product.
TREAT HOUSE (Year 13 students Jemma Griffiths, Nina Simpson, Max Upham, and past pupil Mikayla Whitford) also worked hard on their pitches, with their Homemade Dog Treat Business.
Business Studies teachers Carla Lambert and Debbie Keymer are very proud of our young entrepreneurs!
Did you know? There are lots of gift ideas from Year 11 and 12 Business Studies groups who have created their own businesses and innovative products for 2022 as part of the GBHS Marketplace. Check it out!
