U60s FINALS!

Come along and support our Rugby U60s at the Finals at Mt Wellington War Memorial Park this Saturday, 29 August at 10.45am.

This team put their skills to the test last Saturday, in the final match of the regular season against AGS Home game - what a game it was! Every single player in the squad took it on themselves to get stuck in, make the tackles and defensive plays when they were needed most, setting the platform for the attacking structures to work their magic and finish the job. A huge win for GBHS 47-12 to finish the regular season off in style. Now they set their sights on the 6B Final against Macleans.

Despite a great win for the U85s at the weekend with a convincing win, 29 - 5 over Auckland Grammar, an error in the rules denied our team a place in the finals. Not the send-off for the Year 13s we had hoped for, but the team really did us proud. It’s been a great season where the boys really stood up and showed what GBHS is capable of. The culture within the group and the way they represented GBHS on and off the field is a real testament to these young men - finishing with another amazing game that showcased individual brilliance and impressive gameplay.

Huge thanks to all the teachers, students (past and present) and other supporters who came along to both home games at the weekend to cheer the boys on.
