Mathex 2026

GBHS students crunched the numbers (literally) during Maths Week and tested their maths skills at the recent Mathex competition.

Yesterday evening, GBHS was represented by two Year 9 teams and two Year 10 teams at the action-packed Mathex competition at the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium. Congratulations to the following students for their mathematical prowess and enthusiasm!

GBHS celebrated Maths Week in Week 4 with daily quiz questions for both students and staff and a 'guess the number of M&Ms' in the jar competition. With 100s of entries each day, it was no small feat to declare the winner! Congratulations to ... Toki Nagata [W9GND] who won the closest guess of 896 (there were a grand total of 894 M&Ms in the jar). Toki shared his winnings with his classmates.
