Turf Makeover

It’s all systems go as GBHS sets sail for a new shade structure to be installed on the sports turf.

Green Bay High School’s Board of Trustees is pleased to announce work is soon to commence on an all-weather shade canopy structure, enabling year-round use of the turf.

Providing sun protection in the summer and shelter from wet weather during the cooler months, the all-weather canopy, funded by the GBHS Board, will be a huge asset for our Physical Education department and school sport teams.

In addition to providing covered space for PE lessons and training area for sports teams, the turf will be used for school assemblies and enjoyed by the community over the weekends. It is a valuable additional space for our fast-growing school.

Our new shade structure is specifically designed to meet our needs by Shade Systems.

With works set to begin midway through term 4, the permanent shade structure will be ready for use at the start of the year (2026).
