Awesome news!

Congratulations to GBHS student Elias Hunt (Yr 11) who took part in the Smokefreerockquest Auckland Solo Duo event last weekend (11 May) ... and walked away with the APRA Lyric Award for his song 'Light a Spark' - this is such a fantastic achievement! We are very proud of your efforts Elias and look forward to what you are going to do next.

SmokefreeRockquest is New Zealand's nationwide, live, original music, youth event - providing young musicians the platfom to perform live in a professional setting and perhaps setting them on the pathway to a stellar musical career.

Also featuring in this year's SFRQ line-up are two GBHS school bands: 'Incipit', and 'Mayfly' who will be performing their original hits at the Auckland Central Heat tonight! Get your tickets and head on in to show your support.
