Celebrating our diverse cultures
Did you know Green Bay High School has over 80 different cultures amongst the student and staff? How lucky are we to have such a diverse connection to so many cultures?
In order to celebrate and share experiences, GBHS's student Cultural Council has been busy organising events and activities for next week's Cultural Week (9-13 June 2025).
The purpose of the week is to celebrate all of our diverse cultures by creating an environment where all students feel a sense of belonging and connectedness.
There will be something for everyone to enjoy, from dance, food, music, art, and sport, to a quiz, scavenger hunt, and henna painting. There will also be an informative display in the audi foyer throughtout the week for students and staff to enjoy while learning about other cultures.
Be sure to head along to watch the cultural performance groups, who will be performing on Tuesday 10th June at lunchtime in the auditorium.
End the week by delighting your tastebuds with a variety of ethnic food for sale (gold coin donation) so you can try different food from around the world. Get a taste of different cultures by trying some delicious treats!
Also on Friday, students are invited to wear their formal cultural dress. It will be great to see students and staff proudly representing their heritage Note: this is not a mufti day.
