Congratulations to (pictured L-R): Joel Curin, Kara Bowler, Jack Hansen, Sophie Ray, and Lily Kerr-Taylor, a group of Year 13 Business students from Green Bay High School who recently won 1st place in the West Auckland (YES) Challenge One competition.
The Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) is once again buzzing with excitement as over 5000 students from various schools nationwide get ready to compete.
The inaugural challenge of this year’s competition, Challenge One, tasked students with the crucial mission of taking their product ideas from the drawing board to the public arena, to obtain valuable feedback from their target market.
Forming their company ‘EverEase’ this group of young entrepreneurs were awarded the following accolade from Young Enterprise Regional Coordinator, Hannah Watson: "One standout business emerging from YES is ‘EverEase'."
"Committed to sustainability and providing relief, EverEase offers an innovative solution to period cramps with an electric heating pack that you wear like a belt. Their target market is women who experience painful cramps. By venturing to the Hobsonville markets, they ensured they were obtaining an outside perspective. Successfully ticking off all the criteria for Challenge One and doing it with style, EverEase earned the top spot for the West Auckland region. They are truly one to watch!"
