Becoming A Host Family for Green Bay High School International Students

Have you ever considered Hosting an International Student from South America, Europe or Asia? We are looking for local host families! At Green Bay School School we are always happy to hear from warm and welcoming families where an international student will feel at home and part of the family. It is important that English is spoken in the home and that your family is willing to spend time with the student, integrating them into life in NZ. Hosting an International student is a rewarding and enriching experience.

Our international students range in age from 13 to 18 years old and usually stay for 1, 2, 3 terms, or up to one year. Occasionally students will stay for 3 or 4 years and complete their secondary school education at Green Bay High School.

As part of our application process we talk to you about how long you would like to host and match your interests with the students interests.

The International Department at GBHS will provide all the support and guidance you need to help make hosting a positive experience for everyone.
