Kia ora e te whānau, Term 4 has started with a bang, and it’s been wonderful to welcome students back on site.
Today, we also welcomed 60 ASTTP pre-service teachers who are spending time in schools across Auckland. It was fantastic to share some of the work we do at GBHS around PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning), and to see such genuine engagement and enthusiasm from them.
This week, we also had our NZQA Managing National Assessment review, which was a very positive experience. The NZQA reviewer spoke highly of the quality of our assessment systems and the professionalism of our staff. Particular thanks go to Deputy Principal Kheang Ov and Assessment Data Manager Amber Osborn, who provide outstanding leadership in this area.
Summer sport is well underway, with our volleyball teams already competing and other codes set to start over the next week. I’d really encourage students who haven’t yet joined a team to get involved - it’s a great way to connect, stay active, and have fun. And of course, next week’s Staff vs Year 13 Clash of the Codes is sure to be a highlight!
Hope to see many of you at the Dance Showcase next week.
Have a great weekend.
Ngā mihi nui
