Year 10 Literacy and Numeracy Digital Exams.

Green Bay High School is continuing to offer the new Literacy and Numeracy Standards in Week 8 of Term 2 (June 12th, 13th, 15th and 16th). The Literacy and Numeracy Standards aim to provide foundational skills to support students in further studies, work, and life. The standards will become a mandatory part of NCEA in 2024.

Our English and Maths departments have been preparing your child in readiness to have a positive experience using the new digital platform. Our teachers are committed to supporting your child to achieve in these assessments. If they have concerns there is extra support from our teaching staff in the Maths clinic and from English teachers in the Library after school every Tuesday and Thursday.

Students will need to check their school email, regarding exam room allocations and expectations.

The new Literacy and Numeracy Digital exams are taking place next week, on the below dates.

Please note: there have been slight changes in the previously scheduled dates (emailed home) for Numeracy exams (for Years 10 and 11) due to the continuing PPTA Industrial Strike action and new Rostering Home schedule. Literacy (Writing and Reading) exams are taking place on the original dates as planned. Regardless of the changes we are focussed on supporting your child to achieve the best outcome.
