Wayfinding Workshop

Monday, 17th October 2022 at 1:40pm

Towards the end of last term,Green Bay High School teachers (Caroline Taripo-Keith and Jo Orr) facilitated a professional learning and development opportunity called Wayfinding Leadership as part of two-day workshop for teachers in our local community who are involved in our Kotuitui: Kāhui Ako/Communities of Learning.

Developed by Dr Chellie Spiller, John Panoho and Hoturoa Barclay-Kerr, Wayfinding Leadership brings an innovative, practical approach to leadership and management. We were very privilliged to host renowned author and keynote speaker, Dr Chellie Spiller, and over 30 leaders and teachers across our community in attendance (including past GBHS pupil, Lani Talia'uli, who is currently a first year teacher at Konini Primary School).

Wayfinding Leadership is a unique leadership development programme sourced deep in the DNA of the Pacific. Based on the art of traditional Polynesian navigation, wayfinding leadership shows how wayfinding can transform leaders and organisations by using new practices such as mindfulness and awareness of their environment.
