Subject Selection (2026)

At Green Bay High School, our Careers Team delivers a collaborative and inclusive Career Education Plan.
Earlier this week (Monday 28 July) students completed Module 3 of their SchoolPoint Career Portfolio during an extended form time. This module helps students to:
- Identify their strengths and interests
- Explore career ideas
- Understand the course selection process
Over Weeks 3 and 4 of this term, Year 9-12 students across Green Bay High School will be selecting their subjects for 2026 through our Web Portal, and Year 13 students will be advising the Career Department of their intentions for next year.
Choosing subjects is an important step that influences future pathways. It’s vital students take time to explore their strengths, interests, and possible career directions.
At school, students can talk to:
How families and whānau can support at home: Your support at home makes a huge difference. Here’s how you can help:
- Have conversations with your child about their interests, strengths, and future goals
- Encourage them to talk to other adults about their career journeys
- Help them feel confident by listening to their questions or concerns
