Career Pathways

YEAR 11 & 12 (2025) FUTURE GATEWAY / PATHWAYS:
Gateway and Pathways are an exciting opportunity for senior students (Years 12 & 13 in 2026) to experience structured learning in a workplace or tertiary environment and have been designed for students who have a genuine interest in exploring a particular industry.
Pathways students attend a tertiary institute one day a week for up to 3 Terms and will be expected to complete at least 20 Level 2 or 3 credits worth of assessments.
Gateway students will go into the workplace one day a week for up to 10 weeks, and will be expected to complete at least 20 Level 2 or 3 credits in subjects related to their placement. Some Gateway placements require students to attend during the school holidays.
Gateway and Pathways students must have successfully achieved Level 1 NCEA (including numeracy and literacy) with over 80% Attendance and have parental and Dean approval to be in this programme.
Current Year 11 and Year 12 students (2025) who will be in Years 12 and Years 13 in 2026) should apply online in SchoolPoint - CAREERS MODULES by the end of week 6 (Friday 22 August).
