L3 Drama Evening
Tuesday, 27th September 2022 at 9:37am
GBHS’s Level 3 Drama students took to the stage for their final performance as part of their Assessment Evening, held on Tuesday 27 September. This was also the first L3 Drama play they have been able to perform in front of a live audience for almost three years (due to the Covid pandemic), so it was momentous in many ways!
GBHS Drama is very proud to share with you the students' interpretation of the award-winning script written by Caryl Churchill, and we acknowledge the permission given by Play Bureau NZ. Each scene was based around how we process information, feelings and relationships and the students put their own meaning and context into each of the scenes they performed. Hanging scrolls featured on the stage captured binary messages written by students, especially for people in the audience.
HOD Drama, Teresa Callaghan says these drama students have worked hard over the last few years to keep their performance skills alive no matter what Covid threw at them, she is very proud of their journey and the resilience they have shown.
Thank you to all who came along for the grand finale and supporting these fantastic young people as they took to the stage for the very last time at GBHS.
