Yr 9 Literacy Skills

Literacy skills are essential for success in all subjects. As part of the Year 9 Literacy unit, students write an email to their English teachers and share some of their interests, pets, family, plans for the future, etc.
Published (with permission from Devon) is his submission - showing a genuine talent writing, passion ... and humor!
My family consists of a younger sibling who has recently started Intermediate nearby and my parents who are very friendly and welcoming and do everything for me, and I want to do everything for them, too.
I have one cute, pet bunny, Elvis since 2021. We're very happy to have him, and he's the reason I smile when I come home. When he got lonely we brought him his sister, Moon for company.
I have many friends in their last year of Glen Eden Intermediate School. I appreciate them all very much. I wouldn't be the same without my friends, so I am super grateful for every one I have!
High school so far has been a breeze, but I'll (hopefully not) probably regret saying this in 2 year's time. I'm happy to be here, but I'm not sure I like all of my classes. My favourite subjects at school are probably English and social studies.
Throughout the years, I have had many interests, one fluctuating between each other until it becomes stronger than the previous. Before, I was highly (and still am) interested in Automobiles, but recently, I have moved into the prehistoric world of Dinosaurs. I still love cars, but the bias of interest between the two is probably 20:80, that's a pretty big ratio. But anyways, my favourite 2 carnivorous dinosaurs are the Herrerasaurus Ischigualastensis, who is a medium, raptor-like dinosaur that can clamber trees, speed through water, and chase you at over 50/km h. In my opinion, medium-sized dinosaurs are most dangerous, because they are fast, and we are the perfect size snack for most of them! My second favourite is the Carnotaurus Sastrei. Carnotaurus is giant. They are also extremely fast despite their body weight. Their small feet are built for running on a heavy frame, and the big horns are for mating purposes and defense too, hence the name "Meat-eating bull" Seeing either of these would probably kill me out of fear anyways.
I'm excited for what the future brings, and I hope I can make the money to buy my favourite car the MX-5 Mazda Miata NA! My dad is an experienced mechanic and an absolute car expert, even before he was 10. He told me that luckily my favourite car is reliable, cheap, and in his opinion the greatest starter car of the mid 90's.
And, unlike most people, I actually have an active YouTube channel with way over one thousand subscribers. I am an avid car and dinosaur editor, and I post (almost) daily to my network of fans, subscribers! Much of the time, I hate to say, it feels like a dreaded chore to make a video every second day of the week. Maintaining such a channel is hard work! But I will not give up. I want to monetize my channel so I can start earning money from it. During senior school, hopefully, I can look into a trade job, or a job as a truck mechanic. Much less likely, I could become a paleontologist. But, as I said, my interests move rapidly, so becoming a paleontologist is even less likely. But, I probably will become a mechanic because my dad can teach me megatons of information in a simple way!
