It has been excellent to see all students back in class for our first full week of the year.

Attendance in school is so important for promoting both general wellbeing and academic achievement for our students. As a school, we wanted to say a big “thank you” to our whānau for their ongoing support to get students to school on time each day.

All of the Ministry of Education guidance suggests that each day is valuable and being in class punctually gives children a boost to their academic performance and their overall mental health. As with many things in supporting young people, “it takes a village” and we very much value and applaud your support in having your children in school each day.

We look forward to next week and further positive attendance news.
