Debating Tournament

AUCKLAND REGIONAL DEBATING TOURNAMENT:

Keya Parekh (Year 11), Emma Goldstone (Yr 10), and Krisha Karippail (Year 11) were our Debaters taking part in the Auckland Regional Debating tournament, held over the weekend at St Cuthberts' College.

This was GBHS's first entry into the tournament and we are very proud of the team's confidence and enthusiasm. The girls enjoyed the experience and came a respectable 32nd overall out of 54 teams.

There were 4 rounds and various moots. GBHS won 2 and lost 2. Our most successful debate was to negate that people should not be able to disclose where they went to university on job applications.
