Fundraising for Forty Hours.
This weekend kicks off the start of a variety of 40Hr challenges for students who are taking part in this year’s World Vision fundraiser.
This year the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge will take place over the weekend of June 16-18, however participants can start at any time - using a range of innovative ideas to help World Vision with their fundraising efforts to bring life-saving water to children in Malawi and other drought affected countries.
The challenges can be as simple as going without a 'home comfort' for 40 hours, doing 40 acts of kindness, or doing 40km of physical activity for 40 hours.
World Vision’s clean water programme aims to:
- Build new water systems so entire villages will have clean water close to home
- Bring emergency water to refugee camps
- Provide schools hand-washing stations to protect students from diseases
- Train community members to maintain water pumps so that clean water continues to flow for years to come
