Measles

As you may be aware, there have been cases of Measles reported in the News regarding a confirmed case of measles on Waiheke Island, Auckland following recent overseas travel.
The person visited some public locations on Waiheke Island while infectious.
Please see the following link for locations of interest.
If you were at these locations, check if you're vaccinated or immune to measles.

Symptoms of Measles may include:
- Fever (temperature above 38°C)
- Runny nose (or blocked nose)
- Cough
- Loss of appetite
- Sore and watery pink eyes
- You may also get white spots inside your mouth
- Hot, red blotchy rash on skin (3-5 days after symptoms begin)
Should your child contract Measles, please seek medical advice from your GP; additionally you may like to speak with one of our school nurses Melissa Povey, Greer Cutfield or Lorraine Torrance. Attendance must also be reported via the SchoolBridge App (or) directly to Attendance Officer Julie Southey.
