BP Winners 2024

BP Challenge

Thursday, 7th November 2024 at 2:30pm

GBHS's popular BP Business challenge returned in 2024:

Innovation and creativity were on the minds of many during the new two-day format which proved popular with our Year 10 students, resulting in a fast-paced, fun experience.

Judges were impressed with the calibre of entries, which made choosing the winner extremely difficult.

Congratulations to 'Glamour Guard' (Kara Camit, Sofia Hamid, Charlotte Soland, Ariana Middleditch, Sophie Lockton, Amy Wileman, and Rose Thornton) for taking out this year's competition.

As part of the BP Challenge, students form a virtual company to devise a business solution that solves a problem. Their company must develop marketing, production, strategic, sustainability, and finance plans, prepare a business pitch, and present their business plan to the judges.

The annual BP Business Challenge introduces Year 10 students to the basics of developing a business based on a new product. Students develop skills, and gain an understanding of how entrepreneurs start a business; and how a successful business operates.
