Birdcare Aotearoa Needs Your Help

Urgent Appeal to raise $200,000 for this summer's baby bird season!

As we head into the busy spring baby bird season, our local Green Bay bird hospital needs your help in their effort to raise funds to deal with the huge numbers of birds they rescue.

BirdCare rescues over 6,000 wild birds every year, with the hospital servicing the greater Auckland region, extending as far as Northland and the Waikato and providing nationwide phone support and advice. Their dedicated team of wildlife rehabilitators, academic researchers and consulting vets ensures each bird receives expert care and rehabilitation.

They rely on the support of a large team of dedicated volunteers to help run the centre, and engage with the community with education, advocacy and events.

Vet clinics, SPCA and DOC rely on the hospital to take in many of the wild birds they receive, on top of the high number they receive directly from the public. BirdCare assists all wild birds brought in and is fully DOC-permitted for endangered and at-risk species. Their impact spans animal abuse investigations, environmental research, and education.

Please make a generous donation to help our hospital save our precious birdlife. Please CLICK HERE for more information.
