FOCUSSING ON SOLUTIONS:

Last week, some of GBHS's young scientists travelled to One Tree Hill to compete in the annual EPRO8 Engineering Challenge, an engineering and problem-solving competition. Represented by four teams of four, students were given access to a mountain of assorted construction and electronic components and had to choose a series of challenges to complete over a 3-hour period.

This was an exciting event, and the competition was intense!

Congratulations to one of our Junior teams (Thomas King, Jibriil Omar, Cooper John, Levi LeClaire) who qualified for the semifinal round by constructing a fully functioning electric scooter.

Other completed projects were a programmable washing machine and a neverending "rollercoaster" model.

We look forward to updating the results after the semi-final round, to be held next week!

Juniors: • Thomas King, Jibriil Omar, Cooper John, Levi Le Claire • Liam Kilpatrick, Sofia Kilpatrick, Felix Fletcher, Jackson Moyle

Seniors: • Louis Kilpatrick, Deacon Roberts, Liam Swafford, Charlie Whitten • Phoebe Brown, Rowan Farrington, Leon Bird, Bella Wood
