MATARIKI TUIA TĀNGATA

Matariki tuia aroha. Matariki weaving people together through shared passion.

These taonga tuku iho nō ngā tūpuna (pictured) - treasures handed down from our ancestors - are the result of our 4th wānanga raranga of the year.

Some of the values of Matariki that were evident in this wānanga were: Kotahitanga (unity), Manaakitanga (caring), Tohatoha (sharing) and Mana Taiao (environmental awareness).

This signals the importance of making connections through a shared passion.

Together, we honour our heritage and strengthen our bonds for the future.

Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, he toa takitini – my strength is not as an individual, but as a collective.
