Spanish Debate

SPANISH DEBATE COMPETITION:

Margaux Fernandez (Yr 13), Ella Sexton (Yr 12), Areta Karsa (Yr 12) and Kieran Seal (Yr 12) participated in the National Spanish Debating competition, held at Kristin School, yesterday.

Our team won against one of the King's College teams and were able to move to the second round against one of Rangitoto School Team 1. Unfortunately, our team did not make it, but they were complimented for their strong arguments, and we will be back next year for a rematch.

GBHS Spanish teacher, Ana Pascual-Rodriguez says she is super proud of our Spanish team for their effort, willingness to extend their skills, and for debating in Spanish with commendable pronunciation and commitment!
