Introducing NEW Staff

GBHS would like to warmly welcome our newest Staff members (pictured L-R) Tatjana Jacobi, Jessi Shields, and Jessica Goodall.
Tatjana Jacobi: Social Sciences / Teacher in Charge of Geography is an avid baker of traditional German cakes and a big football fan in my spare time. Originally from Germany, Tatjana decided to stay in New Zealand after completing her MSc (Hons) in Geomorphology and has been an active member of the German Community in Green Bay for the past 15 years. Tatjana is looking forward to bringing new perspectives to the Social Science department and being part of the German community at Green Bay High School. Our new Receptionist is Jessi Shields, who joins us Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, term time only. You will be sure to hear from Jessi when she answers your phone call to the school office (09 817-8173 ext 201) and replies to your queries and emails ([email protected]). Jessi brings with her a vast experience of working with young people in the social services sector, having previously worked for Visionwest Community Trust as the Whānau Centre Coordinator. Jessi lives locally and enjoys getting outside in the garden, doing DIY projects around the house, exploring nature and going on adventures with her young family.
Jessica Goodall: Visual Arts is looking forward to teaching Visual Art, Art Design, and Photography, and being part of the wonderful Art department at Green Bay High School. Although Jessica has taught at several schools across Tāmaki Makaurau, she has spent the last few years out of the classroom applying her design and photography skills in a practical setting. This has included a number of personal projects, as well as an entrepreneurial venture in e-commerce. Jessica is also looking forward to sharing her knowledge and the experience gained within these different roles with her students, to help further expand their understanding of creative processes and its various applications beyond their school years.
