CONGRATULATIONS!

To Ben Wilson, who has won the coveted 'Game of Kings' crown, having strategically left his mark on our House Competition statistics!

Ben, who is working towards teaching Maths and Statistics, as part of the ASTTP Programme, has a background in software development and statistics work. Strategies which possibly helped him win against GBHS's top chess player, Jahkoby Mataupu (Year 13) in our grand GBHS Chess finale!

Green Bay High School is part of the Auckland Schools' Teacher Training Programme (ASTTP), in partnership with the University of Waikato. The programme is an excellent opportunity for people in our local community to complete this one year course. Trainee ASTTP teachers work alongside teaching mentors at GBHS, and also attend remote lectures to complete assignments for Waikato University.
