For fifty years, a miserly modern man has turned his back on home, family, and history, all in the pursuit of profit and personal gain. Then, when he ignores a stranger’s cry for help, the Watchers decide that it is time to call him to account. Forcing upon him visions of his past, his present, and his possible bleak and desolate future, the Watchers hope that this knowledge will help turn him into a kinder person and a more connected human.
Our students have devised and created a modern and local version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Their story’s themes of courage, responsiveness, and respect align strongly with Green Bay High School’s own values and allow us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our school while also looking toward the values we will all need moving forward into our community’s future.
