Summer Sport

Summer Sport Tournament Week (23 - 28 March 2025) brings many young athletes together, representing their school at events held throughout the motu.

This year, our Senior Boys' Volleyball team will compete in the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Volleyball Championships. The tournament will be held in Palmerston North. This is the first time we have entered a team at this level and we are very proud and excited for the boys to have qualified and get to experience this event.
GBHS's top Futsal teams will compete in the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Futsal Northern Regional Cup. The tournament will be held in Mount Maunganui.
Our Senior Boys’ 3x3 Basketball Regionals are being held at Pulman Arena in Takanini.

We look forward to hearing how these teams get on in their competitions, while instilling our school values of Excellence/Rau O Te Huia, Courage/Ko Kauri, Repect/He Tangata, He Tangata, Responsiveness/E Tipu, E Rea.
