Congratulations to Maths teacher, Mona Mishra, who has successfully completed a National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching program.

Mona began this process in Dubai, UAE and is very appreciative of the support she received from GBHS, giving her the opportunity to complete her qualification while under the mentorship of former GBHS HOD Maths Amber Garrett, and current HOD Maths Raewyn Towes.

NPQLT is a UK qualification designed for individuals who currently hold leadership roles in teaching.

Mona is looking forward to contributing to a learning community in GBHS where both students and teachers thrive, fostering a culture of excellence in education.

"The NPQLT program has enhanced my ability to lead teaching and learning effectively, ensuring that students receive high-quality education tailored to their needs," says Mona, adding "I want to make a meaningful difference by implementing policies and strategies that directly enhance teaching quality and student learning outcomes."

Putting her skills into practice, through evidence-based strategies learnt in the program, Mona will support colleagues within their teaching practices, ensuring every student progresses effectively.

Utilising innovative teaching methodologies, Mona is eager to extend an engaging and stimulating learning environment, boosting student confidence and achievement.

"Through NPQLT, I hope to contribute to a learning community in GBHS where both students and teachers thrive, ultimately fostering a culture of excellence in education."
