Shakespeare Club

GBHS thespians are bringing Shakespeare to life in front of a live audience, this weekend, as part of the annual Regional University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival.

Following tradition, our school Shakespeare club is off to shine on stage, performing the opening scene of The Tempest. The drama department has a large group of budding actors and everyone has worked hard this term to bring it to life.

Performing Shakespeare in collaboration with other schools and students cultivates a great sense of performance community.

Additionally, this opportunity develops confidence, public speaking skills, and appreciation for literature and the arts.
