Weaving with Harakeke:

Nau mai, haere mai! This is an open invitation for all students who are interested in learning the tikanga (customs) of the pā harakeke (flax bush) to come along and join Whaea Tia and Beate Sensei every Tuesday lunch time in L4.

The first wānanga will be taking place on Tuesday next week (27 February, 2024) where you will learn how to make a putiputi (flower) and a tauri kōmere (a contemporary piece of wearable art) as well as learning about the tikanga associated with weaving in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

We look forward to seeing you there!
